This 2.0-contact-hour continuing pharmacy education program examines the legal responsibilities of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy personnel when handling controlled substances and cannabis-related questions. It covers federal controlled-substance schedules, prescription requirements, inventories, recordkeeping, diversion prevention, and the legal differences between federal law and state cannabis programs. Learners will practice recognizing red flags, documenting concerns, staying within scope of practice, and referring clinical or legal questions appropriately.
